The Territorial ProjectThe whole of the territory has been mobilised and has undertaken to get the 2014 challenge back on its feet again. The 2014 FEI Alltech World Equestrian Games in Normandy have an exceptional opportunity in respect of promoting and opening up Normandy. For Normandy, the event is integrated within a global strategy of territorial development. The main public players have decided to make out of these World Equestrian Games a public relations exercise as an outlet to the dynamism of social, touristic and economic energies. The run up brought about by the World Equestrian Games should above all be used as an accelerator for self-perpetuating heritage projects both for the territory as for its main players. It is also aimed at : promoting Norman excellence, Organising the overall approval of the World Equestrian Games and the popularity of equestrian practices for the population as a whole, the main players and inhabitants, beyond those who are already familiar with horse riding. Organising an event which is both eco-responsible and innovative, Such are the objectives of this territorial project which are aimed at leaving a long lasting heritage for the territory and its players. The passion and infatuation surrounding this sporting event will allow the creation of an unprecedent dynamic. Both public and private projects contributing to the achievement of these three objectives will be selected to make up a programme of labelled up actions which will greatly increase the standing of the area in the form of an identity associated with that of the WEG (a variant to the logo of the event). These projects are to unfurl over a period of three stages – 15 days of holiday, 15 months of mobilisation, 15 years of heritage – they will enrich the event and favour the creation of a long lasting inheritance. |
